Killara District Christian Education Association

Killara Uniting Church joins other Protestant churches of the district in providing Special Religious Education at Killara High School. KDCEA funds a Co-ordinator - Peter Gardner - to head a team of Scripture teachers who are volunteers or seconded by other local churches. NSW legislation provides for the provision of Special Religious Education or Ethics in State schools. This is recognised as a great opportunity to reach young people who are largely outside the churches.
